Meas Sameourn: We will take one step at a time

Coach Meas Sameourn giving Instruction to his players from the side line

Meas Sameourn says it’s up to Western Uni. FC to prove they are worthy of keeping their place in the Metfone C-League this season but believes the collective unity shown by the squad so far this season is making a real difference.

Speaking to  Gadaffi's Cambodia ahead of Saturday’s Metfone C- League Week 5 clash against BBU, the Former BBU gaffer played up the rivalry between both sides.
“I think it’s more a team effort and a mindset that is making the difference at the moment. I feel that we’re attacking together, defending together and we have to take one game at a time.
“The players are putting in the necessary effort for each other in training. Everyone is fighting for each other on the pitch and that’s what makes the difference. We all know the difference between winning and losing is very small and we have to keep fighting for each other.

their clash in the Hun Sen Cup last week
“It’ll be up to us to prove that we have what it takes to remain in the Metfone Cambodia League, that’s why we take it game by game and we try to stay focused and work as hard as possible"
The Former BBU Coach, who returned to the MCL with Western this season after quitting BBU a year ago, also touched on his time with the former club.
“Having spent over five years in BBU I have a close relationship with them. But this match is not about to prove a point, but we are going to take it as another game" He said
Western are currently 4 places  and 3 points above their rivals BBU and a win could see the University backed team among the top 4 depending on other results.
