Meas Veasna
has urged Western Uni.FC's fans to continue to stay behind the the team despite the 2-0 lose to BBU on Saturday, because it can make a difference on the pitch.
Fan groups organised a spectacular display to greet the players ahead of the Metfone C-League game against BBU and, roared on by their supporters, Western battled hard against their Rivals despite  seeing their team going down to two late goals.
With Boeung Ket FC the next  team to Play  coming week, Veasna wants more of the same from the fans.
I felt really proud to be a player and have the opportunity to play in front of such huge fans, when you see them behind you like that  you feel really strong and want to do well everyone was supporting us

"Everybody know it's going to be an important game on Sunday against BKFC," the defender told Westernunifc.blogspot.com. "But the positive aspect is we play well game after game  and we hope we can do better on Sunday.
"What I have to say is that the fans were incredible, amazing.  When I arrived the stadium for warm up and Saw the huge crowd that watched the first Game,  I felt really proud to be a player and have the opportunity to play in front of such huge fans, when you see them behind you like that  you feel really strong and want to do well everyone was supporting us" he said
"That for us is very important because it makes you feel united. You feel like things are easier on the pitch and you can find the energy until the last minute, so for us it's a plus to be able to play in front of our fans at the Olympic Stadium.
"We'll need them also to be behind us and we'll give everything to win every match we play. I feel really Sorry that we lost to BBU, I want to apologize to the fans for the defeat and assure them we willdo everything to get back to winning again.  The C-League games are never easy but we keep trying. That's why we need to give an extra focus, work maybe even harder and try to score as quickly as possible when we have the chance." He Enthused.
