Veasna- I am ready to do the dirty Job

Meas Veasna  says he is ready to do the Dirty Job of shutting out BKFC's attacking threats by sitting in front of the Western Uni.FC  defence and protecting the back four.
The WUFC Central Defender may be deployed as a Defensive midfielder should coach MEAS Sam OEURN opt for a 5-4-1 or 4-1-4-1 option against the former champions on Sunday.
Coach Sam Oeurn has acknowledged the balance that is needed following the team's 2-0 lose to BBU last weekend and Veasna believed to anchor  the role is one he thoroughly enjoys.
I am ready to do the dirty job to help my team win BKFC
Meas Veasna

“My most important job on the pitch will be to protect the back four and it is not easy, especially when the other team is focused offensively and has so many players of real quality,” Veasna told www.westernunifc.blogspot.com.
“I normally play as centerback but will try to stay in front of the back four, to protect ISA and MOL. I’ will also try to co-ordinate between defence and attack, because what is important in football is to attack together and defend together.
“Yes BKFC have a lot of Good players, but I believe in myself and my team can do it on Sunday, our defense can stop them from scoring" " We play football based on attacking very quickly; that is the beauty of our game" .
“At the same time we try to avoid any counter-attacks and  so we push very high so we can get the ball back when we lose it. It makes it easier to defend when the team is very high.
“We know BKFC is strong team but we are not scared of them because we have two legs same as they"  The Defender stated.
Veasna is one of the most vocal members of the WUFC team, and he says it is an absolutely essential part of any successful side.
“It is good to have someone who gives you some help, someone to talk to you, it is very important,” he said. “I try to help my partners, to speak to them and also get them to speak because football today is all about communication.”

Privat- It will be A diffcult match but we can Win

Privat Mbarga says Western Uni.FC must be prepared for a Difficult encounter Against BKFC on Sunday and match their opponents’ attacking threat.
The People's Club have not won any of their last three  League Matches at the Olympic Stadium and face a side who have been very prolific in the Metfone C-League so far this season.
Privat is expecting a major challenge from Coach Prak Vuthy’ side but is confident Western Uni.FC have the quality to secure the three points against his Former team..
It's always very similar - they are a very Strong attacking side, very aggressive and it’s will be a very tough  match for us
Privat Mbarga
“[I‘m expecting] a typical attacking game against Boeung Ket FC. It's always very similar - they are a very Strong attacking side, very aggressive and it will be a very tough  match for us,” he told Westernunifc.blogspot.com.
“All the away games  this season are pretty similar and tough so we need to be really well prepared [for a] physical and aggressive style of play. We need to close them down and not give them space to get into their rhythm, if we do that, we can be successful.
“For me, the crowd support for Boeung Ket doesn't matter at all. The atmosphere in the stadium on live matches is great, so that side doesn't bother me at all.

" For me to play against my former team, I know the match will be difficult but by the grace of God we can win it"

Despite a diffcult run of matches to come, the Cameroon Player believes Western Can go far this season and be up there at the top of the table come end of the season.

" Yes Western Uni.FC Can go far because football does not know the right team, we just play with confidence and do the best.

"If you look at the Championship all teams are the same so we are afraid

Because the game will play out and let the best person win
“What I'm thinking about is [what performance] we will produce on the pitch and if we will be as aggressive and strong as BKFC. If we do that, we can beat them.”
Privat Mbarga doing a video Promo for Cambodia Superstore.
Privat admits he is trying to get into the box more this season after he scored in the Opening Match Against AEU, but says he has to be aware of his defensive duties, too playing in front of the back four.
“I would like to do that but on the other side, the most important thing for me is that the team functions well,” he said. “I think that's why the Coach plays me - because of my experience.
“I try to protect the back four and not push too forward, but we shall see how many goals i can contribute this season, I want to score, and i like to score" the 22 year old said

“I'm always making sure that the balance of the team on the pitch is right and I will do that all the time because the only thing that matters for me is that the team wins.”

"What I have to say is that the fans were incredible, amazing.  When I arrived the stadium for warm up and Saw the huge crowd that watched the first Game,  I felt really proud to be a player and have the opportunity to play in front of such huge fans, when you see them behind you like that  you feel really strong and want to do well everyone was supporting us" he said
"That for us is very important because it makes you feel united. You feel like things are easier on the pitch and you can find the energy until the last minute, so for us it's a plus to be able to play in front of our fans at the Olympic Stadium.
"We'll need them also to be behind us and we'll give everything to win every match we play. I feel really Sorry that we lost to BBU, I want to apologize to the fans for the defeat and assure them we willdo everything to get back to winning again.  The C-League games are never easy but we keep trying. That's why we need to give an extra focus, work maybe even harder and try to score as quickly as possible when we have the chance." He Enthused.

BBU ends Western Uni.FC's unbeaten run.

Two Second Half goals confined Western Uni.FC to their first defeat of the season to put and end to their Unbeaten run that spanned three games. Despite dominating the first half,  Goals in the 77th and 80th minute was all BBU needed to run away with the 3 points.

Western missed three chances in the opening 10 minutes as their top scorer David Njoku's shots were blocked off.  First inside 6 minutes, the Nigeria Top Striker for the University side was put through by Privat and his shot was deflected off for a corner kick.

3 minutes later, David was also at the end of another Beautiful move from Western but his header went narrowly wide.

Western Continued the pressure as BBU were forced to retreat back and Mesmerizing Privat wriggled his way through the flank before sending a low cross which David once again got to the end and only God knows how BBU goalkeeper shut him out.

The First Half ended with both sides level and BBU are the happier to go into the break without conceding.

At the Start of the Second Half Western continued to push forward  and Privat Mbarga looked to have opened scores when he timed his run to latch on to the ball but was ruled offside.

BBU came stronger in the second half and got their rewards with a tactical change which saw Richard Omokafe pushing forward thereby causing more problem for Western Defense.

A momentary lose of concentration and a faulty clearance gifted BBU their first goal as the stiker shot sailed into the roof top of the net in the 77thm minute.

Western Barely knew what hit them when another chance came to Richard Omokafe as Western failed to clear their lines and the Nigerian Shot at close range beat Goalkeeper Ronoch for BBU second in the 80th minute.

With three minutes left Western got several chances to get back into the game but couldnt find the net.

Once again for the 4th time in as many matches western uni.fc were denied a penalty when a BBU defender looked to have handled the ball in the area but referee waved it aside.
