WUFC Suffers Second Succesive Defeat.

Western Uni. FC Suffered their second defeat of the season loosing 2-0 to former Champions BKFC this afternoon in the Metfone C-League. Two goals in each half from Khuon Laboravy and Chan Vathanaka confined the University backed team to their successive defeat. Fluffed Chances from the Duo of David Njoku and Privat Mbarga denied WUFC any chances of getting back in the game when on two occasions the African Duo were gifted with free headers.

The Match started with BKFC pushing up in search of Early goals but Western Defense stood their ground and barely gave the Former champions any space to get into the rhythm of their game.

The first 15 minutes went without either side creating any chances and Western began to take control before they were dealt a blow int he 20th minute as Khuon Laboravy was given space to get to the end of a cross from Vibol for the opener.

Undaunted by the goal western continued to push forward and causing some problems for BKFC's defense but couldn't penetrate.

BKFC Tried to open Western up but the university side remained resilient and went into the break with a lone goal deficit.

Both sides returned in the second half and it was more of a ding dong affair. BKFC won two corners in succession in the opening minute of the second half but Laboravy's header went wide. At the other end, Western got their chance when Privat Mbarga intercepted a pass and was let lose but the Cameroon born took the wrong option and was stopped by Chukwuma Ohuruogo.

As the match approached the hour mark, Western continued to push forward and backed by the cheering of their fans rose in confidence and became more coherent in attack but poor finishing denied them of the equalizer.

Privat Drifted to the right wing and mesmerized  his way to the bar line before sending a cross to David, the Nigerian's first touch was exquisite but his finish could only see his shot parried away for a corner by Goalkeeper Penh Bunchay.

In the 70th minute Western Looked to have leveled the score when a after a goal mouth Scramble a free header fell for David and the Striker buried his header wide. Two minutes later a corner for Western again saw another free header fall to Privat and the Cameroon midfielder header went agonizingly wide.

Western were to pay for the near misses as Chan Vatanaka double BKFC's lead at the other end. The Substitute was allowed acres of space to wriggle his way through Western Uni.FC's defense like hot knife on butter after Western Lost possession up front,and the Cambodian International cool finish sealed the match for BKFC in the 77th minute.

Western Uni.FC will have to reignite their early season form to avoid a free fall as the season gets tougher with more big games looming. Haven been Ousted from the Hun Sen Cup, the team now have about 20 days before their next match against bottom Placed Albirex Nigata.
