Ouen Kosal says a good performance against Champions Svay Rieng will do wonders for their self-belief.
The diminutive  midfielder Scored his first league goal on Sunday Against Albirex but his effort couldnt help his team get all three points as they capitulated to 2 late goals to go home empty handed.
The defeat added to a difficult run of three defeats despite a 3 week break for the club, and Kosal believes Western Uni.FC can turn things around on wednesday.
"It means a lot [in terms of self-belief] if we can get a result against the Defending champions after three disappointing results in a row," he said.
We need to come back and show our character.
"After we went up 1-0, mentally we were really strong and showed great belief. We were playing against a team that has suffered 6 defeats and  we had the best chances in the game.
"We lost concentration and allowed them to get the equalizer then 2 minutes to end we went down 2-1, we all came together again and fought a lot and deserved at least a point. The lads had a great response, and I thought we could have nicked a goal to late on but it wasnt to be" "  We need to come back now and show our character and the desire the team has showed in recent time."
Not for the first time this season, the Western Uni.FC Fans showed their retuperation against the team for coming out without a positive result despite spirited efforts.
"When we have the crowd behind us, it gives us something extra," he said. "To play at the Olympic Stadium, it is really difficult  but when you have the fans behind you, then you can have more power".
"I know they [the fans] were disappointed with the results, but we have a real chance now to prove a point and make them happy again.
" We have got the crowd back with us now and hopefully we can finish the season strong because there is still a lot to play for."
